Students of the World - India
Gunjan lives in Jaipur, while Rohitas grows up in a rural village in Rajasthan. In this documentary, both students guide the audience through their daily lives, showing their schools, homes and favorite places. The film offers insights into private schools in India as well as a typical rural school. Moving between the busy streets of Jaipur and the quieter rhythm of village life, the documentary follows the students as they share what school, family and friendship mean in their worlds. Through their perspectives, viewers experience two different childhoods within the same region of India and gain a understanding of life.
Statement
Our documentary is part of the educational project “Students of the World” and aims to promote intercultural understanding by showing the everyday lives of children in different parts of the world. The students guide the audience through their schools, homes and communities, helping viewers reflect on cultural diversity, education and social inequality from a personal perspective.
The film follows social impact principles through its educational focus, collaboration with local young creatives and environmentally conscious production approach with small regional crews.
