ADAPTING OUR APPROACH

Duemila30 Edu extends the Caring Space methodology beyond our own projects, adapting it to different contexts through collaborations with schools, institutions, and organisations. Our approach combines audiovisual practices, collective reflection, and participatory learning to create spaces where people can engage, connect, and co-create meaning together. Rather than focusing solely on technical skills, the emphasis is on understanding creativity as a tool for dialogue, critical thinking, and social transformation, shaping environments that are not only educational, but relational and humanising.

We are continuously looking to build partnerships and bring this methodology into new contexts. To explore potential collaborations, reach out to info@quindici19.com

OUR PROJECTS SO FAR

  • MILANO - 2026

San Siro On Set was a free participatory filmmaking lab designed for young people aged 14 to 19 living or studying in the San Siro neighbourhood of Milan. The project was conceived by Quindici19 in collaboration with Fondazione Terzo Luogo, within the framework of the “100 IDEE” programme promoted by the Municipality of Milan.

The programme guided participants through the collective creation of a short film about their neighbourhood, offering a creative space where young people could express their perspectives, experiences, and aspirations.

The lab consisted of five training sessions hosted at Fondazione Terzo Luogo, during which participants explored the different phases of filmmaking, from concept development and storytelling to the production of the final audiovisual work.

The workshops were led by filmmakers Lorenzo Maria Chierici and Pedro Pablo, who supported the participants in developing their ideas and transforming them into a collaborative film project.

The aim of the initiative was not only to provide basic audiovisual skills, but above all to give space to the voices of young people, encouraging them to become protagonists in telling the story of their neighbourhood.

  • MILANO - 2021

The educational project was organised in collaboration with the Human Rights Festival of Milan and involved the Alessandro Manzoni High School. The project, spanning 35 hours, engaged five classes from the institute in a comprehensive exploration of human rights and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals through audiovisual media. The educational project encompassed various activities, including the creation of a series of civically oriented podcasts, the participation in the EDU Section of the Human Rights Festival (2022), the screening of social-impact short films, a workshop on film reviewing, the in-class viewing of a selection of short films, the participation in the Duemila30 festival (2022), and a collaborative group work aimed at creating video-format reviews of the viewed short films.

  • MILANO - 2019 and 2022

The project consisted in a specific programme dedicated to high school students during the 2019 and 2022 edition of the Duemila30 Festival. The objective was to transfer to the participating students the tools to understand: the dynamics behind social impact video campaigns, the power of cinema to shape people's minds, and cinema's ability to call audiences to action. Participants had the chance to apply their knowledge by planning a film-related social event for their local communities and by developing a visual call for action for the SDGs. The Ambassadors also had the opportunity to learn new skills on the audiovisual language, through theoretical and practical workshops. A group of the Ambassadors in the 2019 edition of the festival followed a programme dedicated to the analysis of short films and the writing and shooting of a video review, in collaboration with MyMovies.it.
