Pyasa / Thirst
The story follows a lower caste family living on the outskirts of Jaipur where a huge conglomerate called “Pyasa” is bringing their new initiative. Multiple reports of missing children have taken place in this community, leaving parents frightened. We follow along as the truth unfolds and tragedy occurs.
Statement
My film talks about the societal problem with the Indian Caste system. Even though the caste system is abolished under law, it is practiced to this day. I wanted to shed light on how big corporations and conglomerates take hold of minority communities and their trust, tp use it for their own advantage as fodder, may it be child labour, political gain, etc.
