Jika Sang Pemarah Pegang Pistol / If the Hothead Holds a Gun
Andi went about his days with a volatile and paranoid mind. Without giving it much thought, he managed to buy a gun illegally to protect himself from danger, even though his wife and friends questioned his decision and no one was actually after him. As time went by, he became increasingly obsessed with his new gun until one day it began to speak as if it were a normal person.
Andi embraced the pistol and treated it with great affection, even regarding it as his secret lover. However, a single moment changed everything when Andi was forced to use his pistol.
Statement
At its core, this film is about the danger of emotions left unaddressed.
We want the audience to recognize that mental health, especially emotional regulation and anger management, is not a weakness to be hidden, but a very real issue that affects not only the individual, but everyone around them. When we refuse to seek help, when those around us stay silent, the consequences can be irreversible.
Through Andi's story, we hope to spark a conversation: about how we treat our own emotions, how we respond to the struggles of people close to us, and why it matters.
