Glosario/ Glossary

Simón, a Spanish teacher obsessed with dictionary definitions, falls in love with Estela, an anthropology professor whose definition of love is based on an indigenous worldview. Simón will have to confront his rigidity to understand and accept Estela's definition before it's too late

Statement

Glossary leaves us with the universal message of cultural plurality. It teaches us that we must understand and learn from the worldviews of different cultures. In the case of our protagonist, Simón—a man obsessed with semantics and the literal definitions of the dictionary—he will learn, after several stumbles, that there is no single definition of love when he encounters a girl who holds an indigenous definition of it.
