DJUM
Jumadi (69) is a garbage cart worker whose profession is often looked down upon by society. Through more than 40 years of dedication and consistency in his work, Jumadi succeeded in supporting his children until they earned university degrees.
A few months before the wedding of his youngest child, Jumadi’s wife suffers a stroke. Hoping to recover in time to attend the wedding, she depends on continuous treatment and medication. This situation forces Jumadi to work even harder as the head of the family while also taking care of his wife through daily therapy and medical care.

DJUM is a social impact documentary that gives visibility to a person whose work is often ignored and undervalued. Through the life of Jumadi, a 69-year-old garbage cart worker, the film challenges common prejudices about manual labor and invites audiences to recognize the dignity, sacrifice, and humanity behind essential work.
