长椅、夜色与刀光 / Bench, Blindness, and the Blade

This microfilm follows 17-year-old high school student Anita, who skips class and encounters Simone, a girl working at a coffee shop. What starts as a spontaneous escape from academic pressure soon evolves when Anita discovers Simone’s secret: she is being sexually harassed and physically abused by her boss. Torn between friendship and fear, Anita ultimately chooses to stand up for her new friend, leading both girls into a confrontation that spirals into an unpredictable turn.

Statement

This microfilm fully aligns with social impact filmmaking core concepts.It depicts real hardships of young women such as workplace abuse and sexual harassment, showing vulnerable female social conditions, conveying meaningful social messages about resisting unfair fate and female mutual support "girls help girls", and raising public awareness of hidden female sufferings. Made in line with social impact filmmaking standards, its realistic narration and open tragic ending inspire deep thoughts on gender issues. This work echoes the United Nations topic of gender equality and elimination of gender-based violence under SDG 5.
