ჟოლო JOLO

Jolo lives in a body of an animal which the society often compares her to due to her excess weight. One day, the usual bullying causes plans of a date that Jolo was excitedly preparing for to fall apart. This leads to some changes in our character.

Statement

The film explores the invisible boundary between the individual and society, examining how society influences a person’s self-perception, everyday life, and inner world. At its core, the story focuses on stereotypes, labels, and bullying, which often quietly and gradually reshape a person’s life.

The main character is portrayed through different animal forms, symbolically expressing the various perceptions and attitudes that society imposes on them. Through this visual metaphor, the film aims to encourage the audience to reflect on the importance of empathy, the loss of individuality, and the pressure created by social expectations.
