Statement
The film is about dealing with PTSD and flashbacks. I am dealing with CPTSD from a young age, and I feel that in media there isn't really consideration of complex PTSD (CPTSD). CPTSD doesn't occur only from one event, but a series of traumatic events that repeats itself. In the film I wanted to convey the feeling of living with it, the feeling that you're never safe, and the world is not a place you can exist in. I wanted to create a film that portrays the guilt that comes with these feelings, the feeling that you're part of the trauma because you have no experience with anything else. the feeling that you are an extension that spreads the trauma. That there is no difference between you and what happened to you. I wanted to make a film that portrays these feelings, in addition to give people with a similar experience to feel seen and less alone. For me, it was hard to feel that I am alone with these feelings and that something inside me will never be like other people. It is important to me for this film to be created for me and for people who feel like me.
