Aliya and Eldar, two students, arrive in a small village to film a documentary about the impact of media content on children. There, they learn about the mysterious disappearance of a young girl who often spoke about her “friend” living near the pond.
As they begin their investigation and interviews with local villagers, strange events start to occur around their work, making it harder to understand what is real and what is not.
Statement
This film explores the impact of media content and excessive phone use on children. I wanted to show how seemingly harmless digital content can influence a child’s emotional and psychological well-being, shaping their perception of reality and relationships with others. The film also reflects on the shared responsibility of families and society in protecting children and paying attention to problems that are often ignored.
