The short film La differenza non fa male, preme soltanto began as a search for smaller
Romanian communities that had moved to Cassine. Although the search was unsuccessful,
it sparked an idea: the feeling of becoming part of a community without ever fully belonging
to it. The film explores this sense of in-betweenness through themes of self-isolation,
exclusion from the community, and the fear of belonging.
