2024

When the world came to Paris for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the city was filled with promise - of renewal, unity, and lasting change. But behind the spectacle, Parisians were divided: some hoped for transformation, while others feared disruption and a city reshaped for global audiences rather than its own residents.
After the Flame explores this tension through the voices of locals, workers, artists, and visitors, tracing the emotional arc from anticipation to celebration - and finally, to aftermath. As construction, branding, and global attention temporarily transformed the city, many experienced a version of Paris that felt both elevated and unfamiliar.
When the crowds leave and the flame is extinguished, the film asks: what truly remains for those who call Paris home - and did the Games change the city, or simply pass through it?
