San Siro On SET!

Between December 2025 and April 2026, SanSiro On Set brought together a group of young participants from the San Siro neighborhood to co-create a short film through a participatory and educational process.
The project began with outreach activities in local schools and on social media, engaging around 10 young people aged 15 to 22. The program unfolded through a series of workshops held across January and February, combining training and hands-on experience. Early sessions focused on storytelling and audiovisual language—covering elements such as narrative development, lighting, and framing—guided by professional tutors.
As the project progressed, participants took an active role in all phases of production, from scriptwriting to filming, acting, directing, and contributing to the soundtrack and editing.
A key moment in the process was the collective development of the story, which sparked meaningful creative exchange and helped shape a narrative that reflected the group’s diverse perspectives.
The project culminated on April 18 with a public event, where participants presented their final work: “Fuera de lugar”, a short film of approximately four minutes entirely conceived and produced by the group.
SanSiro On Set highlights the potential of participatory cultural practices to empower young people as storytellers and active contributors to the narratives of their own neighborhood.
